Yesterday I went to celebrate my mom's bday (which is actually today). She wanted to go to the Psychic Fair, mostly cause she was curious. I went cause I wanted to know what a Psychic Fair is. Basically a bunch of psychics at booths, each one does readings differently and reads different things. You can get info from them and get a reading on the spot. One did Auras, one did eye readings, palm readings, tarot readings, calling spirits, "rewiring the body" with tuning forks and scents, etc. It was all a little weird to me. I view psychics the same way I view gays, they're normal people who are just a little confused about their orientations. So just as we finish looking, my mom says "ok, which one do you wanna do?" What? I didnt come here to get a reading. Im sitting here all thinking this shit is bogus and now my mom is forcing me into it. Well ok, I'll do it just for fun, but you go first. She had a reading by this artist guy who had her pick out cards, arranged them in some wierd pattern, placed crystals around them, whent into a trance (to talk with the 'spirits') and told her about herself and gave advice to a question, then charged $30 for 15minutes! Well she said she'd pay for me, and it looked kinda interesting so I went to the lady who does retina readings. She had me take my rings off, relax, put my hands into hers and stare at her eyes for 15 minutes as she told me the visions she got from my 'subconscious spirit'. She said she saw a beautiful woman flying above the earth, wearing a beautiful gown that trailed behind her. The woman comes straight from heaven. She descends upon the earth and lives among the people, and works to teach the people the beauty they already have on the earth. She has her place waiting for her in heaven. As she gets older and wiser all doubts about her from others and herself fall away and as she leaves the earth she has the power of the sun behind her, and two lions in front of her protecting her, letting no one get to her unless she lets them, and she leaves behind a gift of beauty peace and love. While she was doing this she nearly started crying! When she was done she said oh my god you're an angel! and hugged me and told my mom she's a blessed woman. Woah, well that was cool. Kind of ironic though since Im Atheist :)-
